Crystal A. Blount is a published Author, Singer/Songwriter, Public Speaker, and Publicity/Business Consultant with over 10 years experience in the entertainment industry. She is also a member of the RAINN [Rape, Abuse, Incest National Network] Speaker’s Bureau, and presides over her company, Blazon Soul Entertainment & PR. Crystal studied Music Business at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, before transferring to Los Angeles Valley College and earning the Associates Degree in Liberal Arts, where she also served as President of the Black Student Union. She is a victor over sexual assault, domestic violence, and drug and alcohol abuse that chose to use her personal experiences as motivation and Christian ministry to other women who are searching for a better way to cope with their pain. Crystal currently resides in Los Angeles, CA with her husband, Nicholas, and is promoting her new book, Prayers & Pillow Talk: A Rape Survivor’s Journey to Self-Worth, as well as completing her Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing.
Crystal’s administrative and managerial expertise has afforded her an insider’s view of the executive-level workings of the Entertainment Industry. She spearheaded Office Administration for the start-up CodeBlack Entertainment, an urban film distribution company partnered with Vivendi/Universal, then moved on to Universal Music Group Distribution and specialized in Mobile Marketing, coordinating qualitative and quantitative research across various mobile and digital platforms for the label group’s extensive artist roster. In 2007, she succeeded as Office Manager for the expanding CBS Interactive Mobile Department, and Executive Assistant to the EVP and General Manager, Jeff Sellinger. Crystal is currently the Publicity Coordinator for Disney’s Hollywood Records in Burbank, CA.
